Part of my daily job involves managing a sales team! I regularly tell the guys “If it’s not in the system – it’s not done!” If I want to know what’s happened during the sales process the guys need to access the information quickly.
I know my sales team are hard working and are busy discussing software and services with agent’s non stop. But if they don’t record that information, I don’t know that it’s been done! It’s the same for Estate agents, you can be the most proactive agent in the world but when you do have a problem (and we all have problems) you need to get hold of the information and fast. Why not try the “if it’s not in dezrez it’s not done” approach.
Here’s a test (for branch managers). Why not pretend you have had a call from a very angry vendor. Tell them you want to see everything that they have done on the file including times and dates of all calls? You may be interested by the results!
