Being a trainer at Dezrez it’s very rare I get a chance to see from a customer’s point of view what agents can offer through estate agent software and its associates. Last week I had a chance to be the ‘applicant’ when I was applying to rent a property through an agent based in Cardiff called Squarefoot. The level of service I got was amazing; I had an email confirmation upon registration, list of 15 properties I matched to and also viewing confirmations for the properties I just booked. All within 30 seconds of leaving the office! Obviously I knew of these features in the software but so many agents don’t use these to their advantage which is a shame.
When we decided to take the property after the viewing the Tenant Referencing side of things was really impressive. They were using the dezrez associates Van Mildert for the referencing and days after we had agreed the rent we had an email and text to confirm that things were moving forward. We were kept up to date with every single contact, whether it be references returned or checks made, we were kept in the loop. This was vital for me and my fiancé as we were both eager to move into the new place as soon as possible.
The process was a lot easier than I thought it would be and it was made a lot easier by the amount of contact we had with the agent and the tenant referencing company. This was accomplished by using the basic features of the software to their advantage and made them look slick and professional. This was most impressive!
